I've been "productive" for about 6 months now (altho i've pretty much been action faking). I recently made my 1/5/10 planacy (The Great Rat Race Escape ) and realised that reading books and meditating aint going to get me the freedom i pursuit. My main goal right now is to deliver small value to people around me (helping elders, etc) and i'm also looking out for needs and problems to sell at a larger scale.

In this thread i will list up what i wan't to improve, and what i wan't to achieve. I will dedicate effort to improving and achieving these goals.
Here are my current problems which i wan't to improve:

1. I'm currently struggling with a pornography addiction, and i feel like i'm always realsping no matter what. I need to replace this with a better and healthier alternative.

2. I need to cut down on useless screentime (netflix, youtube, porn, etc.) My goal will be to only use my phone for sending texts and calling loved ones. I've already deleted tiktok, instagram and facebook. I haven't deleted snapchat, which seems to consume 1-2 hrs each day.

3. Become more mindfull and improve my focus. When i read or meditate, i always seem to be thinking of something else and my focus is terrible. In the previous two years i've consumed hundreds of hours of tiktok which i think has caused me to get a lack of focus. I will continue meditating to increase my focus for doing things that matter. My diet might also have an effect on my focus. I generally eat "healthy" foods, but i have a mild sugar addiction.

4. Increase my willpower and stop making f"cking excuses. So, as i mentioned, i really wan't to find a problem and sell the solution. But when i seem to find a decent idea, my mind makes up all these damn excuses: "it's to expencive. "You are too young." There's probably a big market for it already, and you don't have the skills nor the expreience." These excuses are stopping me from achieving what i strive for. I will eliminate this second voice that is stopping me.

These problems are stopping me from getting what i want. I am going to make sure i eliminate all these in the next couple of months.
I also have certain goals i want to achieve, both short and long term. I calculated that i needed around $4.5 million after tax. So, my ultimate goal is to find a problem, sell the solution and make the world a better place. Hopefully, that will gain me my freedom. Here are my short term goals:

1. Give value and help my community. My first step to give value in a larger scale, i wan't to see how much value i can give in a small scale. I think this will give me a good feeling after helping someone who might need it the most. "You must affect 1 person before you can affect 1 million people."

2. Learn marketing. I wan't to learn how i can use better marketing to get an edge over my future competiotion. I think marketing might be the most important aspect of a succesful business (besides productocracy and CENTS). I don't really know how i can improve my marketing, besides reading books which doesn't move the needle enough. I've seen people spending a couple hundred dollars to build a shopify store and run some ads, just to learn how it all works. It doesn't need to be a great product and it doesn't need to be profitable. What do you think of this idea? How do you improve in marketing?

3. Keep building good habbits and avoid bad ones. All of the problems i mention at the top of this thread are problems i am dedicated to eliminate. I'm confident that eliminating those bad habits will make it easier for me to achieve my long and short term goals.

Long term goals:
Main goal: Realise problem, find solution, sell it.
I believe i will produce a productocracy and use CENTS as my guideline for succes. I know the journey will be long and tough, but i belive it's doable.

I'm at an age where i need to pick what route i wan't to go in life. At my age, i have already realised that working 40 years in a job i hate, isn't for me. The rat-race in Norway is increadibly convincing. You probably see us as a rich country, and thats true, i guess. But there are very few entreprenaurs who are selling worldwide solutions. The richest guy in our town has the highest record of earning 130k a year, at the age of 65. That doesn't scream massive sucess in my head. Norway is such a comfortable country, too comfortable. That's why everyone is okay with the rat race. No one realises it beacuse they are more than good enough having a 9-5.

Well, thats my list of goals and dreams. It might come to life, or it might not. But i will do everything i can to make it work.
If you have any suggestions or tips, be sure to let me know.

Thanks in regards,
Cheers.

Oh my goodness, where to start?

Firstly, I will plug my thread on mistakes that beginning fastlaners start on. Click Here.

These are symptoms of Self-Improvement Spinning Wheels Syndrome. Funny enough, it's common within Gen-Z. You spend all of your time on what you're doing to be 100% productive, 100% of the time & getting lost in the sauce of improving when you're not going anywhere. You inevitably fall off and feel guilty, adding to the cycle. Stop. Change your focus.

You're not helping people. You're not providing value. You selfishly focus everything on yourself without looking outwards.

Once I began looking outward at myself & to the people who needed my help, these problems fell away because it was no longer about me - it was because people relied on me to be the best so I could help them.

Here's a way to provide some value - get your value/post ratio up. Post content that people want to engage with. Try a business, fail, document, report.

As for solutions to your problems:
Number One - Easy Peasy Method.
Number Two - Delete everything related to social media.
Number Three - Do short & quick bursts of study. Atomic Habits may help here.
This takes no time at all to implement.

Learn marketing.
Refer to the thread I posted. Do not go off and "learn marketing". Solve a problem.

What type of wishy-washy statement is this? MIGHT happen??? I have my crystal ball in front of me, and I say you won't achieve it with this attitude.

Side note - these are barely goals. You have no time scale or ways to measure your success - it's just stuff you wish you'd want to do but are not going to do.

It seems as you have not read MJ books precisely. He described everything in detail that all from your excuses can be broken. It is a good start point, read them.

He knows what he's talking about.

The idea is that your generation has been misled by youtubers and tik-tok users into believing that taking cold showers and meditating will lead to success in business or life.

What actually leads to success: hard work and smart decisions.
