Crane operator from UK. Looking to learn

Hey everyone, I’m Joe, this is my first time posting, and totally new to all this.
I have actually been a part of the fast lane forum for 6 months but iv now finally summoned up the courage to introduce myself and my idea.

I love the millionaire fast lane and unscripted but I’ve yet to read the great rat race.

I live in England and have been working as a crane operator and slinger/signaller in the UK for around 6 years

I work very long hours and have 3 beautiful ginger haired children. The dream is to build something valuable (and hopefully profitable) so I can spend more time at home with them.

Which brings me to my idea..

As a Crane operator who’s worked on sites for years I see the same issues on site when it comes to working with Crane Personnel.

-Agencies charging big fees but sending guys with the wrong certs, wrong PPE, little or no experience and a bad attitude a lot of the time
-Companies struggling to find qualified and reliable slingers and crane operators
-Good slingers and operators not getting seen or picked up for work

So I built a site called Slinger a free directory where crane operators and slingers can list their experience, certs, and gear – and companies can contact them directly, no middlemen. It’s simple, mobile-friendly, and live now. It’s defiantly not perfect but it is my first real attempt at building something.

The truth is I’ve got no clue what I’m doing when it comes to growing something like this. I know I need to get people listing on the directory but I don’t know where to start with marketing, or even if this is a decent idea worth pushing.

I did make a Facebook account and started posting helpful content for new riggers then when I tried to create a buisness page so I could run Facebook ads it got closed down in minutes. I have no idea why but I have requested an appeal.

I’d really appreciate any honest feedback or advice, especially from people who’ve been where I’m at now.
