  • Hey! I have read your signature: “I have found that searching for a problem with the intent of creating a business around it is kind of like looking for a girlfriend. It only seems to work out when you're not actually looking for one.”
Do you have any tips on how to find it without looking for it? Observe the world for problems without thinking about business? Would be awesome to hear your answer :)

Yup, just give yourself a firm deadline (maybe a few weeks) for having an idea and running with it. Devote all your effort during that period to finding ideas. After the time is up, just go for it, even if it's silly! Even if the business fails (which it probably will), you'll find even better ideas during the process!

Thank you for your answer! My initial plan was to start a clothing company (something I would enjoy) which is most likely going to fail without much revenue, simply to take action and learn business basics first hand. And then, during this time I hopefully find a real problem to solve.
Or is that shooting in the wrong direction?
