Hey Fastlaners!
Just getting around to doing my intro and more familiar with this awesome forum.
My name is Artie Bernaducci.
I have been self employed since graduating from Ball State University in Indiana with a B.S. degree in soil science, in 1980.
Like a lot of graduates, I wasn't able to find work in my major area of study, so I went into the masonry business, which I grew up in. My Dad and Uncles were masons.
I ran a successful company for 10 years. Then in the late 80's there were a lot of things happenning after the '87 market crash and business was drying up.
By 1990, things were pretty gruesome, so I did the next best thing...
I went to insurance school to become a salesman!
Kind of a stretch from a literal "brick and mortar" business to being a salesman selling something every one wanted to buy...
life insurance in case they died and disability insurance in case they became disabled and couldn't work.
Yes VERY HOT topics that people were knocking down the door to see me!
Kind of like the scene from "Take the Money and Run" with Woody Allen where he was locked in a sweat box with an insurance agent.
Anyway, even through there was an extreme learning curve then, I worked hard to simplify the language of day-to-day business to ensure clients could grasp what the industry “mumbo jumbo” meant so they could move forward confidently with any planning we did.
Fast forward to present day...My partner and I do seminars to teach Baby Boomers how to navigate through the forest of Social security, Medicare and Retirement overall.
We have written 2 books for Baby Boomers, with the second one being published later this year.
Personally, I am married to my sweetheart Monica, have 3 daughters and a son and 4 grandsons. Main interests are family, bodybuilding, yoga and meditation, marketing, veganism, Oriental Medicine and “paying it forward.”
I joined this Forum because I was so impressed by MJ's 2 books, I wanted MORE!
Looking forward to "meeting" as many of you as possible through this great venue.
Best regards - Artie
