Deocto

I've read so many guru, investing, LoA, organizational, and so on books, it's sad. I'm worse than the bartender in "Risky Business".

I've also purchased late night programs or books. SMC (mail-order drop-ship made-in-China BS) when I was 18. Dolf de Roos real estate investment "program" @ 19. Dean Graziosi real estate book @ 28. Big focus on OPM and signing up for coaching and conferences. ("I don't need the money, I'm charging 6k to make sure YOU'RE serious").

I'm not saying the end result was zero sum. I've learned a lot. I'm from a pretty low socioeconomic background that I've already transcended through work ethic and probably that first book I read. (I believe it was: "The Magic of Thinking Big" and it had an enormous impact on the way I think and operate. )

But, like many, when it comes to doing stuff for myself without a clearly defined carrot waiting on Friday, I find it difficult to start and even more difficult to follow through. Stated with less posturing : I'm lazy and undisciplined.

Just read Fastlane (well, as of this writing, 87% finished. 100% by the time you read this).

Where have you been all my life you dutch uncle @$$hole, MJ?

Though I don't agree with every little tid bit (I find value in business plans, not to get funding though [wtf do I know, I still have debt]) this book is by far the best I've read regarding the subject matter. I wish I could force all my sidewalk / slowlane friends to read it.

Also, brevity is not my strong suit.
