I left an extremely secure and lucrative professional career approximately 12 years ago for the world of serial entrepreneurship.
The last 12 years have been an incredible "roller coaster ride"......to say the least! During this time, I experienced monumental growth and success, only to be followed by utter failure and financial disaster during the 2008 / 2009 financial crisis.
I've spent the past 3.5 years attempting to "start over" in a completely new business venture with a negative net worth (on paper), no credit, no experience in this business......but more ambition and determination than ever.
I've gone from being a multi-millionaire by the time I was in my early 30's (at least on paper), to basically losing everything and starting over completely in a new field. Massive failure on this scale can be extremely humbling, stressful, depressing, etc., etc.
However, I now have more resolve and determination than ever to "make it to the top again". And trust me, I guarantee that I will not be making the same mistakes that lead to my previous downfall.
Most of my friends and family think that I'm absolutely insane for giving up my previous lucrative and secure (but boring) career for this life full of stress, excitement, long hours and enormous challenges. I will be honest......there have been some times over the past few months when I have "second guessed" my career decisions. However, at the end of the day, I undoubtedly have more passion and determination than ever. I have basically devoted my life to getting "back to the top again", or to die trying.
I stumbled across this forum, and found it very interesting. I look forward to sharing and learning from the entrepreneurs on this forum as well as providing insight regarding my personal experiences over the past several years in the areas of accounting, financial planning, real estate investing, online sales, ecommerce, vending business, construction, laundromat business, car wash business, mortgage business, restaurant / bar industry, and a few other areas.
