Self identified stoner skater as a teen, ski bum bartender in my 20s.
Grew up influenced by a worldview that our society would collapse once oil was no longer affordable to the masses. Never considered my future because I thought I didn't have one. (Can't continue without giving my parents credit for raising me to truly care about others and think scientifically. Thank you Mom and Dad.)
Pursued self improvement at a young age for the purpose of meeting women. Found meditation in this pursuit which helped me gain control of my thoughts and compulsions.
In summer of 2022 I quit smoking cannabis for good, and started a daily meditation, yoga, and learning practice.
Now re-examining my former fears of the future from a problem solving lens.
What can Humanity achieve if we leave behind wastefulness, materialism, and egotism in exchange for community, simple pleasures, and a sense of awe and curiosity towards the Universe and our Consciousness?
