I won't go too far into the details - this being an online forum and all - but here's the basics. I was born in a small farming town in California, near the Sierra Nevada foothills. Dad was a citrus farmer, grandparents were ranchers, that kind of area. It wasn't uncommon to see at least three cowboy hats at church each Sunday.
I graduated HS as a B average student, and went into the Navy. Did my training in Chicago, spent two years at MCB Camp Pendleton and finished up the rest of my tour at Guam. Came home, did a summer job with a demolition company, went to Kansas City for a train conductor course, and got hired the following year (2020) with a railway working on track. And here I am.
