I started typing this post for the random thread and then decided I thought it was enough info to be considered for it's own thread so here it goes.

I have a B2B company focusing on HR professionals. Over the last year, I have thought how about to utilize social media for b2b. I feel like b2c is heavily talked about and there are lots of strategies out there already. I want to focus on b2b.

Main issue I have: I don't want to be the face of my company. I tend to keep my identity somewhat hidden. I tend to not tell people what I do for security reasons. I have had lots of threats of violence made against me and it's safer to keep some stuff private.

But Becks, how the F can you be on social media for your business without showing your face. Are you going to wear a ski mask? No, I don't mind showing my face. I just don't want my face to be the 'brand'. So how can I create a strategy that does this?

The list of ideas:
  • Analyze and copy applicable strategies from Web.com, Shopify, Wix, Indeed, etc.
  • LinkedIn & Bluesky- client success stories, quick tidbits, educational based posts. Also can post about legal updates, new court decisions, new laws, etc.
  • Utilize UGC creators for my own socials. Good for ads and general content.
  • Instagram posts with trending audio, interacting with client accounts, video based education, possible use of AI avatars.
  • Micro-influencers- similar to UGC but still different. Would aim for under 15K followers. Lots of trust.
  • Ads but in the right way-- Youtube, and maybe Instagram? LinkedIn ads seem oversaturated in my industry but you never know until you try, right?
  • Stop with the generic posts that my 75 year old mother would post.
