    TMF/UNSCRIPTED unanticipated side effect

    HEALTH
Well, I wouldn't say it was horrible. I simply got way more calories than I burned, probably by snacking all the time. But thanks, MJ DeMarco

    TMF/UNSCRIPTED unanticipated side effect

    HEALTH
Hi everybody, I finally had the time to tune into this forum again. I've been (too) busy with work, and I finally got started with real estate rental - there are enough things to do! Anyhow - I decided to revive my presence in the forums with the report of a kind of unanticipated side effect...

I was going into real estate, but...

    REAL ESTATE
Awesome thanks! I'd definitely consider BRRRR. But maybe in these times where ("they" say) a new financial crisis is underway, I'd sell to investors with a profit instead of refinancing. With the first house I have in mind, I'd probably make 6-7 years worth of net rental income by selling to...

    I've Read UNSCRIPTED!

    GOLD! HOT!
I've read UNSCRIPTED! Great book with a lot of stuff to think about.

    REAL ESTATE
I've thought about it. It might be an option to do that. I've given it a little thought, and it might be viable to buy properties to rent, then sell them as an investment property to investors. The market seems hot right now, so I might as well sell shovels... Anyhow, I think my greatest...

I was going into real estate, but...

    REAL ESTATE
I'm currently reading MJs second book, UNSCRIPTED, and I'm working really hard to change my way of thinking. So...I have until now been very focused on starting with real estate investing - more specifically, buy and rent. A lot of thinking and rationalizing have me come to the conclusion that...

Working towards working with what I love - will it work?

    MINDSET
I'm about 60% into UNSCRIPTED now, so before MJ reads this, I'd like to defend the ebook idea ;) I've worked myself from Sidewalker to Slowlane (and now working towards Fastlane), so I know how tough it is with no money and all the world to blame. I know that many people are in the same...

    I've Read The Millionaire Fastlane!

    GOLD! HOT!
I read it - I love it! It's like it has opened a new door and given clarity. I also got confirmation of many of my own thoughts. Reading it was really like when I suddenly grasp a new concept in my field of science (chemistry); pieces suddenly fitting together and a rush of dopamine.

Working towards working with what I love - will it work?

Good one. I cannot get away with slacking on the teaching quality, but it is welcomed to use educational IT. One task for me is to make as much teaching as time efficient as possible - by using edu IT.

Working towards working with what I love - will it work?

    MINDSET
Good point. With my area of expertise, I would be a competitor to an old work place. But they sacked me, so maybe it's not that bad. Anyhow, I've been thinking about selling an ebook on personal finances in my own language. It's quite automatic when it runs and it would probably generate enough...

Working towards working with what I love - will it work?

    MINDSET
I've also had this idea before. However, my impression is that cosmetics companies etc. stretch their claims a bit too far for my integrity norms. Perhaps that's a 'workplace injury'?

Working towards working with what I love - will it work?

    MINDSET
Hehe, I figured I should scrap the slow lane anyway. It's just really nice to get some feedback and suggestions I actually think it's a great idea with the non-profit organization you suggest. It'll probably be possible to get a higher, but still reasonable salery. But I do fear it will end up...

Working towards working with what I love - will it work?

    MINDSET
Thanks for the quick answer! I've already read The Millionaire Fastlane, which is how I found this forum! I think what's really troubling me is whether I dare to take another route to 'scientific freedom' than most do. Simply because spending time on a new income stream will take time away from...

Working towards working with what I love - will it work?

Hi there, I thought this was the forum that suited my question the best. I am a chemical engineer and self-taught chemist. I love to do research, but if you try to work your way to do your research and have your research group, it's a numbers game. So, I have decided to shortcircuit the...

    Shattering conventional

    INTRO
Hi there, I am a scientist (and trained chemical engineer) who seeks the freedom to do whatever I like. I stumbled upon the Fastlane book - read it - and it changed my view on some things. First things first - I love research, but it is getting increasingly more difficult to 'just do what...
