Hi Everybody,

I have recently joined up to this website and so far am loving being able to surround myself with like minded people. MJ's book really reinforced certain things into me and gave me insight into things that I previously have not considered.

Little bit about me:
First I will give you a run down about how much can happen in 12-15months.

12-15 months ago I was studying a degree in computer programming and working at McDonalds 20 hours a week, I enjoyed driving a fast car (Subaru Wrx Sti) for my age that I had saved up for through my high school years by sacrificing many weekends to work while my friends were out partying. At the beginning of 2013 I knew something had to change and that being a student was no excuse for not bettering myself past working at McDonalds, I then spent the summer holidays (Jan + Feb) working as a labourer on a building site for a life long friend of mine.

After the holidays I began to do some work on his new project of providing construction fences to the housing company he worked for as new health and safety regulations had made these mandatory.

Fast forward to today and I am 20 years old and am the general manager of a small company that provides construction fences and advertising for one of the larger housing companies in my city. I am in my last year of study but have switched from computer programming to business analysis and am toughing out the last year because I have 6-9 months left of study and need to honour a commitment I made to my father of getting a degree.

I have managed to get some small leads into doing consulting work for one or two companies (one was a one off job and the other has been ongoing for the past 6 months.) This along with the fencing company has provided me with adequate income to enable me to begin to do my own things as well as the fencing company and consulting work has relatively good flexibility so although I do long hours I don't necessarily have to arrive at x and leave at y.

My Business:
I have recently sold my Subaru and used that money to go 50% in a new investment properties in one of the new sub divisions in my city. My city is currently facing the biggest building boom in history due to a large earthquake a few years ago that destroyed several homes.

My business partner and I at the end of 2013 imported a 20ft container of a new product that goes hand in hand with the building boom occurring and unfortunately after importing it got too tied up in our other commitments to make any headway with it. But that has started changing!

We have now organised samples and have been giving them out to friends and family, we finally sat down over the weekend and finished our website and got business cards sorted. We have sold 2 of our product with a large 3rd order hopefully confirming soon. This is all a very quick run down of my life as an entrepreneur so far but I am hoping I can provide help or even inspiration to anybody that may feel a bit stuck or struggling for that push to get started.

Im not going to lie it can be a nightmare and there are times where your brain hurts because you are trying to juggle so many things and you have been running off 5-6 hours sleep for the entire week but the thing that keeps me going is remembering that time stops for nobody. The world doesn't care if you are tired or sore or busy or just push your feelings aside and get on with it. I am no way wealthy or rich but I feel like I am doing my best to get myself there, looking back it is scary how much has changed in the past 12 months but if I can do it then there is no reason why anyone looking at this can't either.

Next steps for me is to focusing on growing this new business and then start planning and implementing an idea that I know will be success but is of a large scale that will need a 3-5 year plan and potentially some external funding (trying to avoid).

Feel free to ask me any questions.
