Hi there, I read the Millionarie Fastlane one and a half years ago, since then... my life changed! And I've been reading the forum from quite a long time, now it's my turn if you let me in!
Right now I'm studying my third year of engineering but I also am a kind of "semiprofessional rollerblader" (like skateboarding but on rollerblades).
Thing is that I live in a city with no facilities to practice extreme/urban sports, and you can say... how giving to skaters a place to skate is going to become a successful business, well the key points are:
*The city is the European capitals of skateboarding, rollerblading, bmx...
*There isn't any facility that covers our needs in the whole state
*Practicing skateboarding in the streets is sued with more than 1500€
*Good weather, beach and party everyday
Then, what would make it ¿unique? Now I'm telling you that most private skateparks in Europe are pretty "underground" what I am thinking of is something more professional a training facility for urban athletes. Good ramps + all the services you need: showers, bar, shop, great climatization, good light etc. Things which most (¿any?) facilities don't have at the moment.
What happens in the freestyle sports industry, and particulary here in my country considering this skatepark issue, is that there aren't athletes capable of thinking as a bussinesman and there is no bussinesman capable of thinking as an extreme sports athlete.
I am already working on the project, but there's a HUGE problem, to do anything presentable +200,000€ are needed and to do it great maybe 1M€.
Sponsorship may be a good way to go, if Redbull is sending people to the moon, do you know what I mean? "Redbull Skatepark" Do you think there are any chances that if you present a great project, everything already done, to a brand such as Redbull they would go for it?
One day or another somebody will do that very same thing in the city, its just a matter of time, i'm sure! And I know that if well done, its profitable and escalable!
If you want to know more about the insights and give me some advice etc. just comment down here! I'll be glad to hear your thoughts, take your critiques and learn from your experience!
