Hello all. I am a European international business student currently residing in South Florida. I have been looking to join a business/entrepreneur forum for a while, but it took me some time and googling to find this brilliant forum. I am looking very much forward to discussing with like-minded people on this site.
For the very few of you that might be interested in my life, I moved to Argentina in 2007 as a 18 year old to study journalism (in Spanish). I spent four beautiful years there, before moving to the U.S. in 2011 (my girl got an American residency). Barbecues, soccer and partying have been replaced by studies, learning and work in the land of freedom.
After funding my studies and travels with online poker over the past 7 years, I am now almost ready to start my first real business. Diminishing returns (games are getting harder and harder), as well as substantial swings that are hard to cope with (poker is a game of both luck and skill - at least in short term), have made me realize that I should focus on something that can be more self-fulfilling and bring in more money.
I am reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad as we speak. It seems like just about everyone has read this book already, so I feel like a laggard. Also looking forward to start on the Fastlane book as soon as I'm done with Kiyosaki's classic.
If you have any Qs on poker, Florida or Argentina, feel free to ask
