Hello everyone.
My name is keith and I would like to share a little bit about my past and what has led me here. I come from a very poor family and I chose to join the military to serve my country, see some of the world, and most importantly obtain funding for my education. When I got honorably discharged I started my degree in computer networking in hopes that I would find a good career working in the government so I could retire with a pension. I have followed this plan to the letter up until I read Sir MJ DeMarco's book and realized that I could do so much more and that following this plan would be nothing less than selling myself short. I am in my last semester at my local college and I spend more time reading entrepreneurial books and business books then I do studying. I have the opportunity to go one additional semester for free (actually I get paid to go). I chose several business classes and with the money I have saved through Pell Grants and my monthly military benefits I made the decision to leave south Florida and move to Phoenix AZ because cost of living is much cheaper and will allot me the time to focus on my goals for business. I joined this forum in hopes to network with like minded people because frankly I have none at this point. I am open to any suggestions and I feel like I am a little behind the curve with my age. I have tons of questions and it seems that good insight is hard to come by. I am so glad I read MJ DeMarco's book because I have been able to spot these scams that these gurus are throwing at us left and right. Thanks for taking the time to read and I look forward to anything you may have to say.
