I don't know how many of you are much into Linux or anything, but I'm a bit of an Ubuntu fanboy. When they released their idea for an Ubuntu phone in February, they caught my attention. When they started a $36,000,000 IndieGoGo crowdfunding project, to launch their Unbuntu Edge handset they got my money without hesitation. When they asked again for help, my face lit up.
So far they've raised ~$6.5 Million in 3 days. Not bad, eh?
Now they're asking people to use IGG affiliate links, to help reach the rest of the target. The person with the most referrals gets another phone, engraved with their name ($675-830 value). If you've not yet seen their project, check it out here: Ubuntu Edge (Yeah, it's my referral link...)
I see this as an opportunity to flex some entreprenurial muscle amongst the forum and have a little competition of our own.
Before I go and turn this into a thread that falls on its backside, I'd like to guage your interest in taking part. Whether that's generating leads through your own link for leaderboard prizes, or just giving advice to others on where to start so they can have a go at simple execution.
If there's enough interest, I'll have throw in some canvas art test prints up for grabs as prizes, posted to the winner(s) anywhere in the world and I'll happily incur the costs.
If not, then I'll switch this to a progress thread instead with a target of 100 referrals.
