Hi, I'm new to the idea of starting a business or becoming an entrepreneur. At the moment I’m an art student specialising in animation, and very much a one trick pony.
For a long time I worked on the idea that I'm not the academic type, and played to my strength (This is what I've built my future on and a whole bunch of previous decisions). A mix of pressure to go into Uni and pay for something I don't need a degree for, sudden inexplicable disbelief in the afterlife (with equally sudden and inconvenient hypochondria), a little research into what life is like working in the creative industry, the desire to learn about things I don't understand, and a concern with living life with a goal and purpose in mind set my ambitiousness into overdrive.
I want to actually learn about businesses and how they work before stating something like "I want to make a million pounds", so I'll be lurking and making study goals for now. To be honest I don't even know what I'd do with millions, most of the things I want to buy I'd rather learn to make (would probably be a good idea to get more hyped up about owning a gothic mansion or something).
What I'd really like more than a mansion is to be a super-efficient, not even slightly scatterbrained person who is capable of making millions and living an awesome life.
This look in the forums was only an act of curiosity at first, and now the more time I spend looking at it, the more I feel like I would be walking away from the person I want to be if I didn't choose to take the Fastlane seriously...
I've got to say some of you guys are very inspiring, though.
