One of the superior premises of the Fastlane is the idea of your money working for you and maintaining one's standard of living without having to work. In all of the associations through which I've heard this defined, it is made to seem that the Fastlane is only for those who want to be rich. Now, I know this argument has been made in one form or another before, but I feel that the Fastlane can apply to everyone regardless of financial goals. Financial freedom is one of the ultimate freedoms of mankind. Society has taught us to work for a paycheck since at least the Industrial Age. We apply for jobs and go to work every day just to put food on the table, shelter ourselves, and pay our utilities. People should pay their bills with investments not their job compensation. We need people to work in this country, because we need to produce...but wages from a job should be our entertainment money, our vacation money, our extra saving and investment money, our "increase our living standard" money. This is in addition to the profits made on investments.
Working for money is what brings such rabid stress to peoples' lives because they know that if they don't work, they are finished. They know that if there is a problem with this week's paycheck, they have to skip a bill or two or negotiate with creditors or just pay the most important bills first until the next pay period. It is senseless and inexcusable how our labor force has been degraded as serfs in our feudal system. The federal government, financial media, and the Fed and their pathetic excuse for financial education (i.e. Slowlane teachings) is what I call "status quo financial education". It teaches us how to swim in the government's and the Fed's fish tank. It is a tank that they built so they can make all the rules and hold all of the power. Some of us are better swimmers than others. Some of us don't swim in the fish tank at all. Status quo financial education has destroyed the personal economies of millions. "Alright," says the Government/Fed cartel, "we control the money supply and we are going to play it however we like in a way that benefits only us and the rest of you citizens just make due the best you can. Here, try this. Try that. Americans need financial intelligence now more than ever." What they are referring to is the kind of financial intelligence that keeps us in our place. When I hear Ben Bernanke, one of the greatest criminals in American history, spill this trash it makes me sick.
People should go to work because they want to produce--because they want to contribute to society--because they want to make a difference in the world. They would be rewarded with monetary compensation that can pay for their recreation and their indulgences. All the while, they perpetually have piece of mind knowing that whether they work or not, their bills are taken care of with their sound investing.
This is what I am going to move America toward. It is the micro-economic premise of my company's mission. Prepare for REAL prosperity, folks.
