Yesterday my wife caught wind of a few pieces of furniture and misc items sitting on a curb and when she looked into things this is what she learned. The items where being moved out of a house that had been foreclosed on and where free for the taking.
The 2 gentlemen moving the stuff out were being paid by the bank to empty the house and give the yard a quick cut and trim. My wife talked to them for a few minutes and leaned that they had 14 houses to clean. That got me to thinking a little bit, so now I have a couple of questions that I thought I would put before you for discussion.
1. How much $$$ are banks willing to pay to have a house emptied and cleaned so it can be put for sale.
2. What do the banks expect to have done? Just move stuff off the property followed by a quick cleaning inside and out? Or will they expect more?
3. Do any of you have any experience with this kind of thing?
4. If you were to consider starting a business that offered this service, would you go to the extent of making business cards and/or flyers to give to banks.
I realize the first couple of questions might be hard to answer, so any advise you can offer will be appreciated.
