I just watched the above program (A life half full) on Discovery Health, about a woman (Rosemary) who was born with a condition known as sacral agenesis, Rosemarie has only half a body (no legs at all). Rose is married to a regular guy and made medical history by having a baby.
What is incredible is that she is a car mechanic, and a Race Car Driver. She cooks and cleans, provides for her mentally retarded 29-year-old brother and a father who is suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. She also helps her son to lead a normal kid’s life by participating in his school activities.
I watched only the last part of this program. At the end of the program, Rosemary talks about her philosophy of life. I am unable to paraphrase it here; however listening her saying that was incredibly inspirational.
