Hello members of The Fastlane Forum, I am an ambitious 18 year old school leaver from the UK who decided not to go to university against many a recommendation after achieving A*A*A results at A-level in maths, physics and further maths respectively, not that my grades are especially important, just showing my belief in another route.
Some people who are blinded by the school education system and see university as the only next step may say I am crazy, but I'm convinced I can make decent of myself WITHOUT 4 more years of boring, non goal specific oriented formal "teaching" while partying myself to death, losing 30lbs and picking up £40,000 of debt. The Millionaire Fastlane was a major eye-opener for me and I consider myself fortunate to have stumbled across it one evening about a year and a half ago while Googling "how to get rich without university".
I'm not coming looking for a life saving answer to my problem, but some pointers in the right direction.
Here is my flaw: I struggle to embark on a venture unless I am very confident it will be successful and profitable, which obviously means I have approximately 0 experience in starting anything really. I struggle to see the next step after an idea pops into my head, and end up stagnant looking for something to do worthwhile. I'm currently reading "Scientific Advertising" as recommended by a fastlane member to learn copywriting, just to keep myself somewhat productive. Basically I am struggling to take that "leap of faith" and really dedicate myself to something specific, and in need of some advice about how to actually DO something and take steps towards my end goal, which by the way is to have my own fastlane business if that wasn't already apparent.
