I've been a member for while now, and I did do an introduction but it wasn't particularly good, so now I'm doing a proper one. Here goes...
I'm 16 years old (nearly 17) and I'm from England. I've noticed quite a few people on here have lived fairly poor childhoods and this is what has made them want something better, well I'm kinda the opposite. I've come from a relatively wealthy family (although it's slowlane wealth) with my Dad programming for banks amongst other things on the side. I guess I've been spoilt as a child, getting everything I want (within reason) without having to earn it and this is why I wan't to create my own wealth, because I don't want to give up getting what I want and I don't want to live in a rat run. My biggest obstacle is laziness which has probably been caused by being spoilt, although if I get really excited about something I start off very motivated and the laziness starts to kick in after a while. When I first joined I was going to sixth form but since then I have dropped out for various reasons, there are plenty of different courses in the UK which I can do at any time if I decide that I need some more qualifications. Since I've been a member of this forum I've had various ideas for e-businesses although I haven't actually finished any of them yet. With my Dad already being a coder he says PHP etc. is all fairly easy stuff and he can help me with them. I wanted to partner up with him on some of my first projects but he has been pretty busy lately, he has gone from working 3 days a week to working 4 days a week and he gets up very early and when he's at home he always has something to do (we're coming to the end of a 3 year house extension
) but he is still very helpful when it comes to e-biz. I'm also interested in real estate, rentals to be more specific, although I'm lacking knowledge so I'm tempted to get an office job at an estate agents (I think you Americans call them real estate brokers). My best friend is in a similar situation to me, he has dropped out of sixth form and he is interested in business, I would be tempted to partner up with him to get started real estate because I know this is what he is most interested in and it would be easier to get started when you're only buying 50% of the property because property prices are insanely high in the UK so there is not alot of cheap stuff to get started with. Anyway... I've been rambling on for quite a while now so I'd just like to say that I think this website has been a fantastic resource, I've learnt much more on hear than I ever did in business studies classes at school so cheers MJ :cheers:.
