Hey everyone, you might remember me but probably not. I joined this forum quite a few months ago completely ready to take the business world by storm and then promptly disappeared and did nothing. I finally decided that as pleasant as wasting away my early years might be (I am 20 at the moment), it's probably not conducive to my long term goals.

I would love to be able to tell you that I came back after overcoming some hardship, but...I can't. Instead, I can finally admit that my problem is that my life has been too easy (please stop glaring me). I was never in a position to fail something that I cared about. To give an example, my GPA in college is a result of what I like to call "strategic class selection". Many classes I take can be considered "hard" but they cater to my strengths and thus I've ensured that both my GPA and classes look impressive even though I actively avoided anything that could challenge my weaknesses. However, starting a business is something that I could fail at, and there's an actual cost if I do. Frankly I was afraid to take a step forward.

Then the summer started and I started working as a legal assistant at a law office and a marketing intern (aka cold-calling) at a mortgage company. Suffice to say that long hours + low pay = overcoming fear of failure.

So now onto my question (though really I'm looking more for your opinions). I've decided that I am going to start an online store in conjunction with a blog. As far as I am aware Wordpress has an app for estores which makes combining the two fairly simple. However I made the extremely intelligent decision of joining amway :smx4: back before I even found this place. I finally got out but after reading the non-compete clause it appears that I can't start my own online store for six months :cuss:.

So my question is whether I should start the blog now and then add on the store once the six months has passed, or should I simply stockpile the blogs now and create the site when I can put everything on it?

Also, in case this information helps your answer, the blog and store will have the same overarching theme, but the point of the blog will not be to peddle the products.
