Hey, Im new here (obviously)
I was thinking today, do people think that you need a specific skill to establish a business? An obvious example would be writing, writing something is a good way to make money. But my question is; if I really want to innovate and think up a fastlane strategy do I need some kind of skill to get me there?
You see, i get lots and lots of ideas, but I feel like every one I think up there is some reason i cant implement it. Sometimes it may be because I lack a certain skill (if, hypothetically, I got an idea for a great novel but didnt know how to write anything that length), sometimes I dont have the money, sometimes something else.
Do people begin with skills? Say an engineer might invent a new device to sell. My University degree doesnt offer anything in terms of general skills, so I feel kind of stuck. I am will to expand my knowledge but where? Do I just follow my general interests or decide on specific paths towards a business?
