Hello everyone and thanks for letting me be part of this forum!
I'm a student of coaching education study and an amateur/semi pro footballer/soccer player (I get paid some money, but I can't make a living from football). Soon, I should have Bachelor’s degree in Strength and Conditioning.
Since around 2 months ago I'm trying to start my Fastlane business. I built a website and an Instagram account where I give footballers free advice on how to improve physical aspects of their performance (speed, agility, endurance, etc.). I noticed that many people who give advice on these topics are not well educated (theoretically or practically), so I think I'm in advantage compared to them. I publish 1-3 instagram posts/week and 1 article on my website per week.
My plan: build audience -> sell CUSTOM* training programs on my website -> offer 1 on 1 online training (I know this is not exactly Fastlane model) -> build an app that will provide players with custom training plan**
*Many coaches have one-size-fits-all training programs. For example: "squats - 4x10 @80kg", the problem here is that this weight will be too heavy for some players, and too light for others. I want to make training programs that will be customized to every player, despite the fact they are not training with me 1 on 1. These training plans would cost 20-30€.
**Based on player's physical characteristics, they would get their training plan each month on their app. This app would cost 10-15€ per month.
My questions:
1. Is there a better way of building audience than giving free advice?
2. Is my plan "too niche", because the people I'd work with are footballers 15-35 y/o and in my experience, most players either are not willing to pay for training programs (they would rather search free advice online) or they already have their strength and conditioning coach. Or are these just my limiting beliefs?
