Am I Allowed To Ask For Thoughts on A Program?

I'm not sure I can ask this type of question here. If not, I apologize in advance....

I am subscribed to the CREI-Alliance yahoo group. They constantly post messages about a group project opportunity. I believe the initial investment is $500.00. I'm actually a licensed real estate agent and would like to get into investing in residential real estate to start, but I don't have a ton of money saved to buy a property with cash, nor do I have enough money saved to place 20% down with a conventional loan...

I would like to find a mentor, but haven't had much luck finding someone to work with here in Indy. I figure the group project advertised in thie CREI-Alliance forum is the closest thing I can get to a mentor.

So my questions are: Have you heard of this group? If so, do you know much about this program and whether or not it would be a good learning opportunity?
