What's up guys..
So I had an idea.. in summary it's an online platform that helps grieving pet owners cope with the death of their pet through narrative therapy.
It's similar to "Storyworth" (which was a success) but heavily focuses on the niche of grieving pet owners. The platform will ask questions that help people remember & cherish their favourite moments with their pet. It also emphasises collaboration, bringing people together in times of grief.
Upon completing your tailored questions, we will send you a keepsake book/journal with all your stories and photos of your pet.
I've sent out a lot of concept feedback questions, 11/16 said they would be interested. Everybody who wasn't interested ALWAYS said they knew somebody who might be. I know 16 responses isn't great, but it's hard to cold message people on Instagram/Discord without being blocked due to scam suspicions!
My girlfriend is a computer science graduate and can code the website. The problem is, she has a lot of additional stress with having to find a job to get a work visa in our country.
I'm a pretty obsessive guy when it comes to projects & she says she just wants it to be a fun, side project. I don't particularly think this way & win or lose, I want to go full throttle. The thing is, I can't expect her to go full throttle. Although I have no issue grinding late at night, 5 coffees deep, I can't expect to her to do this. In saying that, her role is pretty crucial to the value we will give the customer & she might take a LOT longer than needed in treating it as a side project. She wants it to be an enjoyable side project, but I told her I want to possibly scale this into a full on business.
My question is basically, what does this concept sound like to you guys & am I taking this business plan too seriously & pushing my girlfriend out of it?
Give it to me straight, I won't get my feelings hurt. I'm here to develop & improve, so have at it guys
