Yesterday I read a story about Amancio Ortega ..and this guy definately sounds like a fastlaner.. He is the founder of the Zara clothing chain ( parent company is called Inditex) and is now the World's 3rd richest man. His net worth went up 22Billion in just one year.
He started out poor and had a job working for a local shirtmaker before getting into business for himself.
He now has 6 brands and over 6,000 stores!
"Inditex is a pioneer among “fast fashion†companies, which essentially imitate the latest fashions and speed their cheaper versions into stores. Every one of Inditex’s brands — Zara, Zara Home, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Oysho, Stradivarius, Pull & Bear and Uterqüe — follow the Zara template: trendy and decently made but inexpensive products sold in beautiful, high-end-looking stores."
"Inditex now makes 840 million garments a year and has around 5,900 stores in 85 countries, though that number is always changing because Inditex has in recent years opened more than a store a day, or about 500 stores a year."
This seems to scream FASTLANE....

Just thought I'd share about this guy and company since there are probably many out there that hadn't heard of him. I'm guess there are a lot of you out there. I had heard of Zara but didn't realize how rich the owner was. It is definitely an inspiring story...especially since he did not come from money or family connections,etc.
