An overthought maybe, but I've been struggling to source manufacturing domestically within the USofA. It is incredibly easy for me to order prototypes and start production overseas(China), which I have already been doing, and am not satisfied with the results so far. I am continually worried about quality control and the length in time it takes for a response from the supplier for any reason.(And maybe I also want that Made in America stamp). I am not ready to start in-house manufacturing, but am desperate in wanting to have the product manufactured domestic.
Reading beyond the poor reviews, I decided to reach out to listed manufacturers on Thomasnet, MFG, Maker's Row... and it makes sense why they have such poor feedback. I've gotten no responses over the course of weeks. And the one's that do respond cannot take on the project reqs.
Has anyone else had this dilemma? Whether that is finding an in-country manufacturer, or struggle with their international supplier? I've still very much a student to the game. Am I looking in all the wrong places?
