Hello Everyone!

*Beware! Long post*

After a week or so of lurking around the forums, I have decided to sign up on TFL forums. The reason I've decided to become a part of TFL community is because I expect myself to learn lots of things from the people here. I've convinced myself that this forum is one step closer for me to turn my life around.

But first..let me introduce myself to you.

I'm a college student who is trying everything to avoid the worst case possible..graduating college without having a business already started. Let me first to say that the first time I've thought about having a business to help avoid having a job was when I was 18 years old; after I graduate from High School. Fast forward 3 years later and now I'm still a student who doesn't have his own business..well I do, but it hasn't generated any amount of cash so I don't consider it a business, yet. (For those of you wondering what my 'business' is, its blogging)

Even though in the past three years I haven't generated much of anything, I have learned lots from adults who have screwed up in 'entrepreneur' and was kind enough to give me their two cents. For three years I have absorbed information from all sorts of places, be it the internet or from people I know. For three years I have hesitated (yes I regret hesitating too much) implementing the massive amounts of information that I've absorbed to the point that I'm overloaded and find myself not knowing what to do.

What drives me to have a business and not having to get a job by the time I graduate College? Family. Coming from a broken family and left with a single Mom, I know what it feels like to not have a complete family. My single mom, no matter how much she tries to spoil me and protect me from the real world still taught me of an important lesson in having a family. So I've decided in the future that (my dream) I want to have a family of my own where I would have enough time to spend with my wife and kids. I want to provide for my children the things I couldn't have when I was a kid.

I think its safe to say that I'm the first person from my country to register on this forum. I'm from Indonesia, Jakarta to be precise. I graduated High School on 2010 in Georgia, Norcross (Norcross High, anyone?) How did I end up in Indonesia? (I'm Indonesian by birth) I made a life-changing decision on October, 8th, 2010. Instead of continuing my education in the US, I've decided to educate myself back in my home country; a country I haven't lived in since I was a baby. My native language (Bahasa Indonesia) has degraded to the point I can only speak simple everyday Indonesian. English became my native language and to this point I find myself having trouble expressing myself thoroughly in Bahasa Indonesian. Everything is English to me.

I have families in both countries..but what surprised my mom on October 8th, 2010, was my decision to separate myself from her care. Before you assume that I was a bad kid or anything of the sort; I wasn't. I was simply a student averaging a GPA of 3.5 in school who simply realized that..my life wasn't going anywhere if I continued to live with my Mom. She is afraid that I'll fail in the real world and that I was not ready to face the real world yet. From then until now, my mother refuses to support me (either financially or morally) whenever I decide to jump into a business. She doesn't understand because she has SW mentality, harsh, but true. While sometimes I realize that I'm chewing off more than I could handle, I do believe that I've made the best decision for myself by having to life halfway across the world from her. With limited allowance and growing needs as I slowly turn into a young adult, I decided that the best way for me to ensure a successful financial future is to learn and learn..outside of school/college.

Fast forward to 2013 here I am on my 6th semester of college (majoring in English Lit). The noticeable difference between the person I was back in the US and the person I am currently in Indonesia is many..to the point I sometimes haunt myself from falling asleep thinking of how my life could be different if I just didn't hesitate. I guess this is just a process of growing up and pondering of past mistakes, but hey, at least its a measurement of how much I've changed. My scores in college have decreased as the years pass by but that's because as the years pass by I divert much of my attention to business..and learning and learning..and learning.

I'm a person who loves to read, loves to write, loves to communicate, and I absolutely LOVE traveling. Currently I'm involved in a blog which I intend to turn into an e-book and possibly a novel of its own; hoping that someday I'll change the world in one way or another..through love. (Yes I take relationships and love very seriously) The only business books I've read are Rich Dad Poor Dad and TMF . The latter is what changed my way of thinking (who knew I was living in the SW, huh?)

So here I am..a former shell of the person I used to be. Lacking focus, mostly unproductive, lack of time management, and lacking the ability to prioritize my life, here I am..hoping, no, learning to be better than the person I used to be and hopefully enough to shift my life around. My life hasn't improved, its declined over the years. You could say I'm dying.

Here I am to rise back and take control of my life. So share me your unlimited wisdom, TF forums! :) (takes legal pad) If you've read my post from start to finish, thank you. :) That's my way of measuring the community here. If you want to know more about me just hit me up and I'll provide. ;) Let's be friends :)
