I enjoy what I have learned from this site and the Fastlane Millionaire but I do feel Brick and Mortar operations have been drastically underestimated and E-commerce has been pushed down everyone's throat so much its getting kind of played out.
Let me give an example from my own experience that happens very regularly for me. I work at a small business and many people come in looking for certain items that they can't find locally and have no interest in buying from online or the know how. I simply take the information they have given me and find what they need online. It is not uncommon for me to buy something for say $14 and resell for $40 and still have a happy customer. I buy from Amazon Prime and many other basic sites people could easily find if they tried but have no interest. The place I work didn't offer anything before I came along, it was my idea. We have thousands of items in inventory but I'd say 10-20 times a week I buy from online. It adds up. Here are some examples of local businesses making a comeback.

Something else to think about is that many of the same people on here that preach ecommerce also talk about the nearly $11 trillion about to be spent on construction in this country. I sell in that industry and can tell you for a fact people doing major construction projects don't dick around with the internet that much other than emails that are job/bid related.
I know ecommerce has its place but I feel it has gotten a little too much attention and there is plenty of room for real storefronts. What would your city be like if you couldn't go out for dinner, buy a pair of shoes, or do anything locally and you were told to just order it online?
