If you're like most entrepreneurs, you likely answered an emphatic. "Yes! I can survive anything!"

And you've probably been told that's a great mindset to have. You can take the punches....boy, you take 'em, and you get right back up and hit twice as hard, because you're a survivor, dammit. You can scrap with the best of 'em!

I'm going to tell you something...this is a negative mental program. This mindset is holding you back!

Likewise, many entrepreneurs pride themselves on being a doer. Whatever needs to get done, gosh darn it, they are on it. Need a website? Time to learn HTML! Sales? Let's do some cold calling!

The Survival/Doer and the Success/Leverage mindsets are mutually exclusive. Being a survivor (much like being a doer), serves a purpose early in life (and to some extent, early in business). It gives us strength and teaches us to be versatile so we can handle whatever comes our way. But eventually these programs limit us — in what we can accomplish and in how much we can earn. At that point, they must be replaced with "success" and "leverage" programs, the programs of the entrepreneur.
