Hello. I wanted to introduce both myself and my wife to the community. We both left our corporate jobs July of 2017, sold our home and most of our material belongings to start our life journey living on the road full time RVing. I come from 18 years of manufacturing management experience and my wife has 18 years of building codes and standards experience. I self-published 4 books (2 children's, 1 fantasy, 1 supply chain education) through Amazon KDP and my wife started an Etsy store selling handmade custom jewelry.
We traveled the southern half of the US in our RV with our 2 dogs while at the same time working hard to make our business ventures a success. Much money was spent in advertising as well as sourcing free advertising and mailing samples to publishes and even entertainment companies. We then had a life changing event in our immediate family that caused us to leave full time RVing.
That caused the accrual of debt to pay for medical bills which our business ventures could not support. My wife is caring for our family member while I search for a Slowlane job to make ends meet. The goal is definitely the Fastlane for the both of us which has been inspired by reading MJ's book The Millionaire Fastlane .
I have to say so much of what he talked about in his book resonates with my wife and I. We are taking the steps to move out of the Slowlane and into the Fastlane, but with caution and due diligence.
Several ideas have transpired with one being at the top and focusing on the travel industry and a service that doesn't exist today. We will be working to formulate a business plan and outline our product idea that we will want to produce as software, web based, SD card based and app based. Neither one of us have coding experience which would be the foundation and structure of our business idea.
If anyone has suggestions on sourcing coding work based on a business idea, yet being able to hold all proprietary rights, it would be very much appreciated. I look forward to getting ideas from those more experienced in that arena and networking with forum members. Best Regards. Matt & Mary
