Reading books while taking action is beneficial I feel. Something about engrossing yourself within the genre of entrepreneurship soaks your brain with potential ideas.

Of course, there must be action. I learned a lot from my last failed business (a dropshipping clothing company *yuck*). In the idea stage, I constantly obsessed about brand name, logos & the front end appearance of my website.

In doing so, the actual things that made the business model function (suppliers tailored to my goals, potential costs etc.) were embarrassingly overlooked. My time investment resulted in a return of wisdom instead of capital (not always bad either).

So to summarise, I would identify your target audience, really ensure there's a need, identify hidden costs & ensure there's manufacturers that you can work with that don't ship from China for $70 per package.

As always, think value over sales. Contact suppliers, developers or anything related to your business before obsessing over domain names & launch it, if there's positive feedback you can reinvest into these things.
