Hello everybody,
I know I am not exactly new, but previously I wasn't exactly a member that stuck out (although I now plan to be), and would like to reintroduce myself.
I am 20 years old now and I am in college. I used to own my own flyer and ad distribution business, but I made a few crucial mistakes that I have learned from VASTLY...however, the crucial mistake was something that is actually a very valuable asset and it was ultimately my mouthpiece (lol!). I oversold myself and took on too big of projects that left me dusted.
Currently, I just battled depression, threw out all my meds, changed EVERYTHING In my life, from the way I eat, to my daily habits, and even to the time I wake up. As stated previously, I am going to college and I actually see this as an advantage (networking is incredible), and I plan on trying an experiment and being a jack of all trades (yes master of none--for now) and see what my strengths are. Talking about what I am going to do is boring though, so I will let you know what I have done currently:
-By good fortune, I met the owner of an energy drink company and have reached out to him for a possible internship as I am quite good at marketing. This is not starting my business, but it will teach me invaluable lessons on building a business and give me great practice while I figure out what my own venture is.
-I have been doing incredible on saving money (thank you, Mom) and have $2000 to invest and have already contacted some mobile home owners that are looking to sell. (By the way, is 2000 enough for a down payment in any case?)
-I am following Russ's plan and have been tracking all my expenses for the past 2 weeks
-I switched out of the pre dental program in my school and will be meeting with the young entrepreneur club at my school.
-I just re-read Rich Dad Poor Dad yet again, and I am currently in the middle of flipping homes for dummies, although I have read MANY real estate books already, I am brushing up
-Before writing this post, I am coming up with potential website ideas, or just general business ideas (game plans) and already have a few ideas.
Sorry for the long read, I hope to be a valuable member to this website and not just a leech, although at present I don't have much experience to shed light on.
Great website, and hope to be in touch with all you guys!
Thank you for reading!
Edit: I took some more action and just ordered MJ's book. I am very excited to read it!
