I'm in discussion with a service provider about entering into a barter arrangement. Instead of us paying each other, we trade services. But I've never done that before, and the other person has but feels they delivered their part but the other party did not.

It needs a metric - perhaps could be measured in hours but I'm not sure our hourly rates are the same. Rate x hours for true value could be the metric.

Any experiences? Gotchas? Recommendations?
