First off, I hope you did not ignore the warning and is reading this before you see the movie.
IT WILL MESS EVERYTHING UP FOR YOU.
Ok here goes:
In the movie, The Dark Knight Rises, Bruce is in a prison and the only way to get out is to climb up a hole, then jump from one ledge to another, a fete which was only accomplished previously by a child.
All who attempted to get out since, had failed.
Today, to save themselves those attempting the climb and eventual jump to freedom do so with a rope tied around their waist, just in case they failed to reach to the other side, falling to certain death below. Bruce had also tried and failed with this so-called support system intact .
As it turned out, they all missed one ingredient and that is trying the jump without the rope... the child had done it with no rope because the fear of death did not compare to her desire for freedom.
Likewise, today, in life and business and the jump to the Fast Lane from the slow lane, you might have to reach the point where you want the Fast Lane and all its provisions more than anything and is willing, with calculated risks, to make the jump, being assured that you will not fall but reach to the other side.
Now, what is your fear?
What is your rope, the device, system that prevents you from making it to the other side?
For some, the problem is not jumping, not attempting to start the new company or launch out on their vision -- instead, the only hinderance is the rope, that safety net that is supposed to save them when they fall, that prevents them from putting their all into their dream. Identify that and remove, then jump again and you are sure to make it to the other side and if you do not, retool and jump again -- and trust me, it will be worth your tries, however many attempts at business it takes before you get that one success so get up, shake off all past failures, then try again.
