There is a point where you have learnt all you can know about biz theory, a point where you are about to go out and do things, and right after it is a kind of leap of faith.
This is the point where a lot of your uncertainties bottle up, and you want to know what will work and what doesn't before you leap out there and go get the experience to know.
Probably the biggest question is "are my ideas stupid? am I just fooling myself?", and due to your lack of experience the likely result is "yes" because it overthinks the situation, doesn't take some things into account and is too timid to overcome like a more experienced person does.
The biggest reaction from people is frustration and the projected belief that "you suck and will never succeed, unless you become humble and do the right stuff" (cuz you look a bit rabid).
Now, the sole reason I came here was, to kill that rabidness. I figured "maybe these fine people will have a way to kick it outta me". Sadly, not so much, and that is fine, people do what is worthwhile to them.
So I spent my time trying to figure out what the hell this thing was, an after all that time and effort I figured out both what it looks like and what causes it and WHERE it can sabotage your biz success.
Being afraid of looking stupid, makes you stupid (it also makes you not act and can sabotage your startup).
What happens is, you learn, learn, learn, and people like that, its nice to teach people. Then you say "do I know this?" and nobody knows the answer, they can only guess at if you will have good results or not. Then when you have results, they can look at you again and give you advice and pointers and ways to move forwards.
It is like a BS sandwich, where the very middle, has a fear. Experts are past it and newbies are yet to reach it and generally its hard to deal with and can be really intrusive (both to listener and to speaker).
I wanted to work on this because I feel it is important.
After studying it, it seems to me that fear of being stupid, breeds ego, and ego rejects reality in an offensive way.
This will sabotage a business launch by making it "manipulative". And the biz guy will get consecutive and repeated rejections because, they are just playing a numbers game without THINKING about it.
To do the next step of biz effectively, you have to forget about your image, and focus on bettering your attitude and approach, so that you can invite success and improvement and be ready for it.
You need to assess biz opportunities FIRST, and see if they are worth your applied effort (start small and work up to bigger stuff)
You need to come with an open mind "hey, so what are you guys currently doing and how do you feel about it, will xyz help"
You need to work on your relevance, rather than barge in "ok, so you guys are using x and y, because of z, ok cool I'll think on that and send you anyones contacts that might be able to help"
You want to find out some things you are good at, and then expand on them with the right timing and execution
Initially I thought that I was lacking an answer, or lacking validation. But validation isn't the key to passing through that phase, because it only serves to make you "manic".
The key to passing through that phase is openess, and not acting on the fear of looking stupid (just letting yourself look a bit stupid so you can move on and get the great stuff started).
To speed that phase up, work on your biz and try to get outside of your habits and comfort zones, see new things.
And try not to drive at fulfilling emotional needs because in the end they will be revealled as kinda trivial.
All in all you'll cop hostility during this phase, and sabotage your businesses by being all self important, because you don't wanna look stupid.
But stupid isn't the opposite to having a lot of knowledge, it is just not knowing how to use it in real life. Which really only requires that you stop thinking you are going to look stupid, and be open about dealing with issues and agendas.
Don't be afraid. It drives you towards being a prick. You won't become better than anyone (no one is better than anyone, we are all working to improve stuff) you can only adopt the attitudes that aren't self sabotage.
I don't know if this helps anyone, but it was definately the answer for me. And it is one of the most crucial mindset changes I've had in biz, whilst simultaneously being one of the most unflattering.
Anyways, tough up, face it, get through it, and you'll be alright. Don't freak out, keep calm, and just work on it, you can do it.
