We all know MJ's stance on financial gurus who espounge advice to "get rich" via the slow-lane, but what about Business Guru's?
Who do you like out there? Who's material can you not get enough of?
Personally, I am a HUGE fan of Jay Abraham. If you want to start a successful business and haven't read his books ("Getting everything you can out of all you've got" and "The sticking point solution"), as well as the other material that's available on-line, your doing yourself a disservice. This guy has such a simple, yet amazingly thought-process on business and marketing that it will blow your mind. He regularly charges $25k for attendance to one of his 3 or 4 day seminars, and people gladly pay it. I look forward to going myself one day.
I also like Chet Holmes ("The Ultimate Sales Machine"), and Jay Levinson (the "Guerrilla Marketing" books guy).
What I love about these guys is that they give specific, actionable items that you can use to improve your business - and they realize that Marketing is the absolute key to a business' success.
I don't mind reading some of the other fluff out there (99% of all business books, blogs, etc), they still stimulate my mind, but at the end of the day these guys help me get results in my business.
Also, when I was first trying to come up with a business idea I bought the Earn 1k course from www.Iwillteachyoutoberich.com, which I cannot recommend highly enough for someone considering free-lancing on the side as an intro to Entrepreneurship. It's very expensive ($1,000 or more I think), but it's very focused on ACTION and what it takes to quickly start making money free-lancing.
PS: I consider "The Millionaire Fastlane " to be a sort of business bible - it lays out all the foundations required for a business to be successful, but it doesn't go in detail on specific actions to take when running a business (which wasn't the point of the book anyway - perhaps your next book MJ?).
