What are the best resources on marketing that you know about?
TK1 shared personal mba which was a very nice article with many key points The Personal MBA - by Josh Kaufman | Derek Sivers
Let's say I have a bunch of products that I can sell and deliver for a profit. The delivery and production part of the process WORKS. What this machine needs is MARKETING. What to do? Going out and selling customers door to door cold calling works. Internet works sometimes but still no big results. What is the right way to do it?
Some other potential questions: how do you brand your stuff? Is it better in the long run to sell other peoples products under their own brand or to rebrand them under your brand? How do you maximize exposure? I have done cold calling, putting out paper flyers, have gotten customers to call and order from a website, have sold some over email, have sold other people's stuff and have sold my own services. But nothing that I can call "stable stream of income". What's the next step?
My intuitive guess is that "it's all about marketing" but what should I do? Should I go out into the city with a poster?
should I print more flyers? How do I even make the flyers profitable? They cost money to make and deliver sometimes more than what is made selling the product. I know the products are very very useful and that other people in the same market are making their share of money selling this stuff.
