Hi reader,
Looking for some advice on making good investments before going back into freelancing.
Had been doing freelance web contracts for the best part of two years, but moved into full time employment when money got tight. In two months from now I plan to move back into freelancing again as it's more fitting with my current situation. Most of the work I delivered before was prototype websites for new business ideas, though I'd like to switch to building company websites, or preferably e-commerce sites, for clients. I have a lot of experience in both, but the issue I had before was in bringing in enough interested clients to keep me going.
I'm working with two small clients just now on the side, and I am severely lacking in an online presence so I'll be putting together a company website and boosting my LinkedIn to create an organic presence around my name, but of course relies on clients looking for me.
The above will help, but I know that it doesn't directly attract clients at the level I'd need to be confident enough to leave. Any advice on the best way to invest up to $2000 in order to build a list of quality clients before I start?
Thanks for reading,
Steve
