"BLUE COLLAR MILLIONAIRES is a docu-series that profiles big personalities who’ve gotten rich by getting their hands dirty. These men and women have made millions rolling up their sleeves… but at the end of the work day, they drive home to their palatial mansions and park their pick-up next to their collection of high-end sports cars................"

I've only seen two episodes and unfortunately they don't delve too much into the process that goes into the business. However, they discuss some of the broad strokes. I believe they are somewhat limited for time as they highlight three people per 30 minute episode.
What I find interesting is the business's that you see highlighted aren't the typical "Fad" business's that are typically boasted about in the media.
Example:
1. Oil Well Machinery Mechanic Service
2. Industrial Curtains (For Automotive Shops; Partitions)
3. International Taxidermy
4. Alpaca & Yak Farming
5. Waste Management Company: Toilets and Trash hauling.

One interesting segment included Tony Goff, of Goffs-Enterprises. He started off in his early 20's after an ill fated attempt to become a rock star. In the early 90's, Tony moved with his band to the Sunset Strip to pursue this dream, fun times were had but success wasn't found.
His girlfriend, (now wife) became pregnant and he realized he'd have to put this dream on hold to take care of his new family.
He moved home to Wisconsin and searched for ideas. He decided to start an industrial Curtain business, after noticing a need his father had in his automotive repair shop.........
"He set up a desk in the corner of his dad’s shop, and with only $30, created Goff’s Enterprises.
Within a few years, his industrial vinyl partition company was making $350,000.
The company has made the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies list in the last three years and is projected to make $8 million in 2014.
Tony’s hard work affords him the house that he has always wanted – a nearly 5,000 square foot mans that is built on the enormous plot of land that he and his family owns.
His prized possession is the “Goff’s Mancave” which is 8,000 square feet of fantasy manland including an impressive collection of hot rods, rebuilt vintage cars and motorcycles, a giant game room, and a bar that includes a live music venue.
The other half of the Mancave has a fully loaded recording studio where he records music with the artists on his newly founded record label." (From CNBC).

TLDR:
- Find a need / Solve a problem.
- Execute it.
- Keep executing it well
- Then pursue music dream.
