(MJ- I realize we already have a book forum. This post kinda talks about how we might reorganize it)
Hey Guys,
(Sonya, I hope you know that "guys" is gender neutral for me)
I was thinking . . .
Seems like the book club thing is held up by a few issues:
1. Biggest problem seems to be that we are all pretty busy folks, so we may not be able to read and post at the same time
2. New members miss out on the experience of past books.
3. Some people like to read and post, others like to read the whole thing, then post. Still others like to post after they've tried a few things.
So, here is my idea:
-Make a new forum area, called "BOOKS"
-Each new book that is voted on would have its own sub forum.
Under each sub forum are threads. The threads can be chapters, or they can just be ideas/concepts presented in the book that members want to discuss.
This way, books that are divided into sections don't need to have chapter threads.
And those that are better by chapter can have them.
******
This format would allow someone to pick up a book a year from now, read it, and go to the specific sub forum under BOOKS to comment on it-- and read other's comments.
******
Wanna give it a try? Other ideas?
-Russ
PS I'm a overall concepts reader/commentor, and I tend to read in bunches instead of a chapter a week (Chaps 1-3 on night, 4-10 two weeks later, etc)

Example, you click on the BOOKS forum, and you see:
Your Money or Your Life
4 Hour Work Week
(perhaps other books already reviewed, in the past)
