So, I finally got good pricing and solid demand branded products.
I have about 3 different sources, I can get these products. I would obviously like to keep most connections due to the fact, if one of my suppliers runs out of stock I can go to the others. More control.
Problem is that some of the brands of these products state they restrict 3rd party marketplaces like amazon and eBay. Yet I see dozens of sales made that I am missing out on, by staying loyal to the brands statement. Right now for this industry, I am only selling on my own website. Newer website and fighting for all the traffic I can get. The supplier that provides the branded products states no 3rd party marketplaces either.
Very limited suppliers for these products, so I can assume with a high certainty that the competitor is sourcing from the same spot I am.
TLDR; competitor going against agreement with supplier and brand. Making massive sales through 3rd party and generating leads to his own website. Me staying loyal to agreement and losing tons of money. My biggest fear is the brand or the supplier comes to me and gives me a cease and desist or takes larger action on me or completely cuts contact and I'm screwed.
If I do list these products on 3rd party, its like there is no going back.
EDIT: So competitor has obviously been doing this for some time and is still doing it. I guess there is no repercussion for doing this. Still feel uneasy though.
