I'm in the midst of building my business model and I'm faced with a major challenge.
Would greatly appreciate if any smart ones out there can help to decode it.
Basically, my business model centers around lead generation for suppliers, i.e. end customers place order with suppliers through my website, pretty much like MJ's limos.com. Here's the tricky part, the supplier will be revealed to the end customer after their first purchase, hence, for subsequent purchases, the end customer may bypass my website to go straight to the supplier, who may offer a further discount. Is there any way to retain end customers while maintaining my position as a middleman besides implementing rewards?
My last resort is to intercept the goods, repackage them before sending them to the end customers to cut off all contacts between the end customer and supplier. However, this will compromise on the lead time as the very nature of this good is build-to-order, hence I can't stock up on it to sell.
