I find it extremely fascinating how quickly the world's markets at changing.
With technology and communcation at an all time high there are new ways to do business. New rules, new philosophies, new ways to do things.
The old way of business that so many of these large companies built themselves on are going extinct. Treating people like a number is not an option any more. People are shouting out for attention, they want their story heard, they want to talk to someone, they want real customer service.
This is a large part of my new start up I want to focus on is how the new world of business needs to be run and man oh man I have been learning a staggering amount and how to apply customer service to just about anything.
For example, I heard about a domain hosting website where someone was complaining on twitter that their site was down and an employee was searching for anyone mentioning such things and got the problem solved in about 3 minutes. Now I would consider THAT customer service.
Anyways, the real reason I am posting this thread is I ran across this article about car companies: http://autos.aol.com/article/2011-hyundai-equus-review/
Hyundai seems to be taking over a huge share of the car market. Is it just because of the lower price point? Is it because the other companies cannot simply manage their money? Or are they actually listening to what their customers ACTUALLY want? I do not think a car company has actually asked their customers what they want in decades! How can any company survive that decides to put out a product first and then see if someone wants to buy it?
For the newer people here, a great lesson we are always reminded of around here is FILL NEEDS. If there is no want or need for your product, it will not sell no matter how hard you try... especially cars :smxB:
Lots of opportunity for those of you getting into the auto market!
