I'm in the process of buying a new house, but this house is really inferior to my previous purchase * this house is also 1.2k, was once valued at 45k* . The main reason why I am buying this is because my new job is over 60 miles *I can make at least 100 bucks in a 5 hr shift*. Plus it's fun, little to none management, I create my schedule, so it's not like I'm working. I get there by bus, and that's destroying my time by 8 hr. I needed to test the place out before I do anything crazy lol. I plan on keeping this house for the next 4 years at the bare minimum, until the housing market comes back up. I am not even buying this house because I want to, but because it's dirt cheap, and way more importantly it's less than a mile away from work. Did I say I love this job? lol
Either way, I'll come out ahead because rent is here is 250-300 (3-4k a year) bucks a month. And going by bus adds up, and goes over the house taxes, so that's stupid. Time loss= priceless. And the job could potentially pay me 30k+, up to 50k.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
So anyways, I notice a slight demand at my new job, there's workers who come 20-50 miles away *it pays that well, since these people are unskilled workers*. They must be paying 20-30 dollars in gas just to do this... And some workers just need a place to crash. There would be no running water/no electricity at my house either. My job provides free showers so that's covered. And there's a 24/7 coney island across the street, so there's a bathroom. Cheap food; $1 per coney. Not that I would eat that... but they might
Has anyone "rent" out their house by donations?? I wouldn't say it's renting because the prices are dirt cheap, but it's still technically renting. I wouldn't put it in writing though, I'll just say in real life, I need a donation of this much. Less than a mile from work, they couldn't beat it even if they tried. At most there might be two-three regulars.
$15 a night
$35 a week
$60 a month
I read online that it's illegal to do this kind of thing, because of codes and stuff, and it's still renting but that was for typical rent. But I don't consider it renting, but more like crashing there.
What your thoughts on that??
