Hello everyone,

I'm ready to take charge in the fastlane, and have decided on picking one out 4 particular industries to go after.

I am conducting research, and seeing if there is a real NEED in my first industry (I can't share the industry at the moment, but think of it as door to door salespersons trying to sale a supplement) (using Dane Maxwell methods (i.e.), my gut, and MJ's advice). It seem like I have hit a semi-brick wall though. This industry is highly competitive (people fight for tooth and nail to get a sale), most of the sales people are not marketers and don't know how to qualify/target the right leads (they are focused on using paid advertisement like Google ads, or sending letters), and just about anybody who spends a few months and money can get into it.

So after conducting my research, it seems like the problems are:

1.)

ETHICS!

Companies are not being honest, they are doing anything for the sale, and telling their leads anything to get a sale. The lies and secrecy actually is screwing up the market, but its probably the biggest or 2nd biggest issue in this field. It's an issue that people can live with (kind of like having rude taxi drivers).

2.)
Unproductive Salespeople/Advertising in the Wrong Areas:

If you read in MJ's book, he tells how he had limo companies that didnt follow up with leads. Well the same issue persist in this field. There is a ton of software (CRM), and lead services, however the salespeople are not following up correctly, or advertising properly to the right targeted lead. They are so busy on getting a lead and closing a sale, that they are not considering qualifying the lead, or taking the appropriate steps. Well there is alot of software available, most dont use it. And the biggest problem is they have leads, but dont know how to close them, or so desperate to close the wrong leads.

I really posted this to get some advice. Should I maybe call it quits, and go towards the next industry (number 2), or is their a way I could really dig down and exploit these issues? I have no idea how I would attack the first one as its hard to change personal ethics (its like making sure there are no unethical lawyers), but the 2nd issue, I feel like I could help these salespeople steps to close their leads. I have no experience in this industry to be honest, but I do have a burning desire to help others, bring value, and really solve a need whatever it may be.

I would love to hear you all honest opinion, or thoughts. Thank you in advance!
