Can you mail a small sample item in a letter envelope USPS

Hey guys, haven't been active in a while. My company is taking off and I'm putting in a lot more work than I used to while it grows...

I wanted to pop on here and ask if anyone knows if you can mail a sample / small item in a letter envelope (to save on shipping, no point paying $5+ to ship it in a box if i can throw it in an envelope and mail it for $0.50)

I dont see why not. Just make sure it cant rip the envelope and watch out for the weight limits.

If you go down to the post office, they keep these things behind the counter.

Called postal clerks.

Ask one of them and they should be able to answer your questions.

All kidding aside, you will have to pay more than a stamp I think, because they have rules for stuff that cant go through the sorting machines (letters with stuff in it - even a paperclip)

You can get little bubble mailers and ship them - it will bring it down to a couple bucks.

I guess it depends a lot on exactly what you are shipping.
