So I have an idea for a new kind of cat carrier, and so far all of the potential customers, vets, and cat transportation owners have loved the idea and said they definitely see a need.
We're ready to try and put the design in front of people but we don't know the best method.
I figured we could hire someone to make a CAD design, and then rapid prototype/3D print/injection mold it...but do to that we need a CAD design first according to the manufacturers we spoke with.
We tried to find some CAD designers on oDesk but had a hard time finding good people to work with. Even hired one, and didn't like how it was going so ended the contract early.
Ideally, the CAD drawing would be good enough/lifelike enough to use on a sales page before we even produce our first run.
Is this really the best way for me to go about building this prototype? If so, where is a good place to find/hire a CAD designer who can do this on the cheap for the purpose of a prototype?
