The company I work for had a partnership with a marketing firm that did some seriously shady shit (impersonating various attorneys, charging clients double, charging for services they don't offer, etc...), well they're under investigation from the feds and now we're in trouble, too. We have all our ducks in a row and have fully opened our doors to the feds to help with the investigation in any way possible.
However, the feds informed us today while going over stuff for their investigation that we can't continue with our business until we get additional licensing. It'll take up to two months to get what we need and as a new small business, we don't have what it takes to make it two months without adding any new customers. This isn't my business, but I do like the people I work with, I enjoy what I do for this company and genuinely want this place to suceed. Right now I feel like all I can do is to keep going in and doing my job to the best of my ability and try to keep spirits high, but is there anything else I can do?
Does anyone know of any routes to follow to keep the doors open two months down the road? It's a frustrating position to be in. At the very least has anyone been in a similar position in the past? How did it turn out?
